It has been awhile since I've cooked rice meal at home.

With ramadhan period and syawal visiting, been cooking other non-rice meals or just had rice outside. 

Thank you to Ilah for the botok-botok and Mimie for the tahu bagedil. On the side, I cooked some beef black pepper too.

Alhamdulillah for all the rezeki.. jemput 🫰

Had a ketupat leftover, and decided to bring it home for lontong (ketupat) goreng. It is more tastier with lots of bawang goreng (fried shallots).

Porridge for dinner

Bismillah...

Went to my parents place few days ago.

I saw mum cooked prawn and potato soup, without hesitation pack them up together with the leftover rice.. hehe 🤭

My throat feels sore and felt feverish too for the past few days. Manage to heat up the above dishes and had it for dinner. Hopefully able to reduce the heat on my body. Took coconut water too earlier, it reminds me on one of my late friend's advised, to drink coconut water instead of cooling water. I've tried both, hopefully it subsides.. insyaAllah.. 🤲

Ice cream treat

On a regular Monday, after a stress day from work, this is what you will always need, an ice cream treat. Have a good night everyone. 

Last Saturday, I went to a short syarahan by Ustaz Badli Shah, he shared about jealousy. One of my major takeaway was, the only jealousy that we can have are to those whom can read (with proper tajweed and tarannum), understand, teach Al-Qur'an... subhanallah... I have always envy these type of people, especially those Imam whom recite very well and lead me in my prayers.. During my Persis (Persatuan Islam) days, I've always envy Cik Haron's & late Cik Sadiah (may Allah ease her afterlife always) family. Their children's recitation, subhanallah.. amazed me always. I'm fortunate to get an opportunity to learn some reading and tajweed techniques from one of them. Hopefully I will not stop learning and continue to learn something new all the time. Learning is a journey, everyday is an opportunity. Take care all.

Alhamdulillah for the rezeki

Alhamdulillah for the rezeki today.. Jazakallah Khair to Anis for sending me this all the way to home. Thank you again.. sedap!! Just in time for lunch today... 😎😎

Next, made this simple sandwich for breakfast earlier, alhamdulillah.. never tasted better hahaa.. toasted bread with cheese and whatever crackers you have.. and magic...

Favourite ramly burger in KL

Another cravings satisfied ✅ Alhamdulillah!

It has been quite awhile since I indulge in one of my favourite ramly burger in KL. Located just in front of Watson, within walking distance from Ancasa Hotel.
Been trying to explore that area again, but no chance yet. And tonight, my brother and I decided to go back to our "usuals".

And here we are, just me and this burger, gone within minutes. Haha! I can't seem to get something similar to this back in hometown. But nevertheless, enjoy while it last.

Alhamdulillah... 1 of the reason why I came back to KL are the food... cravings satisfied, I'm a happy person lol!!

Aiskrim mahal

Sekali sekala makan aiskrim mahal.. apa salahnya, tetapi memang sedap. Aku dah lama minat dengan aiskrim ini, malangnya makin hari makin banyak cawangannya yang ditutup. Mungkin sebab sewa kedainya mahal atau tidak banyak pelanggan. Atau senang cakap, mungkin harga aiskrimnya terlalu mahal sangat. Apapun. Janganlah sampai tutup di seluruh Singapura ok!

Cream corn custard

Was craving for this and manage to cook it few days back.. And yeah craving satisfied!  Got the exact temperature and texture as what I've like, and with lesser sugar.. Alhamdulillah.

Trying my very best to cut down on food intake, insyaAllah, for the best..

Target accomplished alhamdulillah... the late night / early morning 'hard work' pays off.. hahaha.
Suppose to have 5 layers but 1 of it refused to turn up well.. so there you go.. but the 'broken cake' was not being thrown away though.. I make an additional cake in a jar with the leftovers cream cheese...
Happy with the outcome... more experiment up next... hehee 😊
